LGA Partners, a leading architecture firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, is currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Architect or Interior Designer who will be responsible for leading quality assurance and quality control processes across various Retail projects. This role will be responsible for ensuring that Retail projects meet LGA's quality standards, as well as code and jurisdictional requirements. The ideal candidate is technical minded and has a strong understanding of constructability.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Conduct reviews of construction document sets across all design phases, ensuring documents adhere to code, constructability, and LGA standards
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy, code, and accessibility compliance
  • Ensure compliance with client brand standards, prototype guidelines, and design intent across projects
  • Provide redlines and direction when inconsistencies and constructability issues are identified
  • Mentor Retail team on LGA documentation standards, detailing, and  technical problem-solving
  • Work closely with the Director of Practice Management to develop and maintain documentation, revisions, and clarification to project prototype drawings to improve future project deliverables
  • Participate in internal kick-off meetings to proactively identify quality risks
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of code, standards, and jurisdictional requirements across project types
  • Promote a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and high design standards within the team and LGA
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 10+ years of Retail design or similar experience   
  • Strong familiarity with building codes and project deliverables
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects at accelerated schedules
  • Thorough knowledge of building construction systems, materials, code, and industry standards
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong technical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal team members
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Manual dexterity for sketching, computer, and phone usage
  • Walking, standing, and traversing various terrain frequently
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 25 pounds at times
